VENDING MACHINE SERVICE

VETERANS GLOBAL

Anthony reached out to us looking to elevate his side hustle business with a logo/brand identity. He had spending his free time researching, purchasing, and installing vending machines in local businesses around the Tampa Bay area. After seeing substantial growth and traffic to his machines, he decided trust us in taking his company to the next level. He wanted his brand identity to not only illustrate the vending machine aspect but to also emphasize his care for all active and inactive veterans of the United States Military, seeing as he was a former member himself. He wanted this done in a clean and fresh way in order to denote the quality of his machines and services.

OBJECTIVE

Following our meeting with Anthony, we first started researching the history of pins and patches. Commonly used to classify and identify rankings of the soldiers, we felt these simple shapes would work very well as inspiration for a logo honoring our veterans. After research and sketch, we landed on a six sided geometric shape with hard edges and points. This shape can be interpreted as a badge or a shield, symbolizing the protection our U.S. Military has provided over the years. But it also can be seen as a minimalistic representation of a 3D box, and/or vending machine, the main focus of the brand.

To push the brand even further, we chose a natural color palette and a masculine sans serif. The colors represent the notorious camouflage military uniforms, and the sans serif to emphasize the brand’s hard edged feel.
